Hello! Welcome to the ‘Extras’ section of the website. If you want to know about money stuff – this is a great place to start! Every week on Andover Radio, I will be giving my ‘Top Tip of the week’ which I will then expand on, right here. I will also randomly blog on things that come to mind, items which are seasonal, things that get discussed at a meeting perhaps, a hot topic that’s discussed on social media website and anything money or business related. Always happy to take suggestions, feel free to head to the ‘contact us’ section, which you will find on every page of this website and please remember that I have a ‘its The Money Guy group’ on Facebook, click here to join and we often discuss lots of different subject matters – as well as heads up on vouchers, discounts, codes etc.

This of course IS NOT AN EXCUSE! Don’t be with someone, just because, that’s not a reason at all. Banks are ripping you off, either financially or customer service wise.
If you’re not happy with your bank, or perhaps, they just don’t give you anything for banking with them, CHANGE TODAY! There are some great deals to be had and some banks customer service is superb.

Getting in the habits you’ll need for life is essential, it’ll help you better understand the system by the time you get around to full time work. The only thing you can’t do is borrow money until the age of 18. But how would having a bank account at a younger age help? Read on to find out.

Read moreA Direct Debit is a fantastic way to make a payment, they are one of the safest way to pay a reoccurring bill, plus, you usually get a discount by settling your bill in this way, not to mention the fact that you don’t have to remember to do anything, it’s automatic (you do have to make sure you have the money in your bank account though!) Additionally – you also have an insurance policy against it! (Sort of…)
Some people really don’t like direct debits, so I’m going to try and set the record straight and iron out any myths about Direct Debits.
Read moreScams are everywhere, unfortunately its part of life now. Everyone knows someone who has fallen short of a scam. Its a shame that we’ve all had that phone call asking us to put on our computer because there is a fault with the Windows laptop (That we don’t possess!) or the email saying our account has been blocked from the bank (that we don’t bank with)
It’s our problem to try and figure out what is real – what is not. Who is genuinely trying to help and who is genuinely trying to strip us of our money/credentials or data.
